While he seemed to have made the right decision, luck was not in his hands. Despite every best effort, he could not succeed in his endeavor of a successful trade of his desire. The legend was displeased with some of the franchise?s decisions. Moreover, he was clearly dissatisfied with the roster. Following this, he demanded for trade and had a particular franchise in mind. Without prior information to anyone, he decided to fly to Portland with his own money for a meeting with the Portland Trailblazers.?

He explained everything about his game and how he could enhance the roster of $2.1 billion worth of Portland Trailblazers and lead them to the championship. However, his offer was rejected by them.?

Revealing the matter to the listeners, he said, ?Portland screwed me, Bill?. ?Barkley had a whole plan and asked the Blazers to, ?Trade these three or four guys, and we?ll win a championship!?, he said, ?Let me think about it?. He called me two or three days later and said, ?We?re gonna stick with what we got!??

Later, Chuck was traded to the Phoenix Suns, where he spent four years. But as we look back at the 11-time All-Star player?s comment now, he was not wrong after all.

With Barkley on the roster, the Suns put up a great battle on the court. He successfully drove the team to their second appearance at the 1993 NBA finals. However, even with a strong team, they lost to Michael Jordan?s Chicago Bulls. They lost to the Bulls in a six-game series. On the other hand, the Portland Trailblazers?lost to the Bulls as well.
