In a recent X controversy, a 72-year-old millionaire’s attempt to humiliate basketball icon LeBron James has backfired, triggering a response from former Phoenix Suns superstar Eddie A Johnson. Skip Bayless commented about how Michael Jordan has better stats than LeBron James to which Johnson replied, “But despite all that, you talk about Lebron more than any great player in the history of sports to improve your ratings”.

While the X-exchange highlighted the Bayless’ attempt to increase his ratings, Eddie’s response called out the perceived hypocrisy. But it wasn’t the only time the two clashed.

Johnson vs Bayless – an old encounter

This is not the first time that these two people have exchanged some pointers on X. In 2021, Johnson called Bayless a waterboy who could only average 1.5 in his school. Beyond that bitter dig, there has been a long history between the two entities. The controversy travels back to 2006 when Bayless, commented on how Johnson looked like a S** offender. This outraged Johnson and he filed a suit against Bayless for his comments.
