NBA fever is at its zenith. While teams clash against each other in the conference quarterfinals, experts are predicting the team that can sweep away the championship trophy. Some teams look like clear contenders for the glorious title whereas others are still finding their way and trying their best to rise to the occasion. The most recent games have caught the eye of almost all NBA fans since they will decide which team will make it to the semi-finals.

Amid such belligerence, NBA legend Charles Barkley made an appearance on the TNT show with Shaq and the whole gang when he was asked the prominent question. And his reply had a lot of fans trying to mock his answer.

Charles Barkley casts his jinxed prediction

Barkley was asked which team would be a guaranteed win going into the triple header. Notably, the New Orleans Pelicans will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Miami Heat will similarly lock horns with the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers will compete against the Denver Nuggets.

“The Celtics are going to win today, guaranteed!,” Barkley claimed boldly in the studio. It looked as though the TNT crew had purposefully tricked him into predicting the Celtics as winners.

The Boston Celtics have a 64-18 stat in this year and have made to the conference first round. Two of their best performers have been small forward Jayson Tatum and small guard Jaylen Brown. Both have scored 25.5 and 25 points respectively. Tatum is also the leader in average points, rebounds, and assists for his team.

However, anyone who watches TNT knows that Barkley’s predictions have mostly been wrong. Last season as per Yahoo Sports, in a match between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat, Barkley had sided with the Heat. The result was quite contrary as the Nuggets won the match. During the NBA 2022 Finals, the Alabama-born opined that the Celtics would win but instead, the Golden State Warriors won the Finale series by a 4-2 margin. Not only this Barkley has even predicted this year’s winners.

Charles Barkley came up with another prediction earlier

Barkley had previously predicted that the Boston Celtics would win the 2024 NBA season. Taking into consideration his history of going wrong, the rest of the TNT squad celebrated his prediction. A flurry of balls was dropped onto him from the ceiling. And everyone including Barkley had a hearty laugh at the situation.

Now that Barkley has predicted, hopefully, this time he will be able to break the jinx. And the Celtics will emerge victorious in their recent clash. Boston fans would be hoping that Barkley’s prediction turns out to be true and the Celtics take home the Championship title.
