The Hits keep on coming, and if you’re a Shaquille O’Neal fan you won’t be disappointed. During the NBA off-season, it seems DJ Diesel has taken the responsibility to keep his fans entertained. 2 weeks ago Shaq announced his collaboration with Biggie’s classic “You Can’t Stop The Reign” would be released on all streaming platforms. Now on Spotify, it has already crossed 1,965,008 streams. Building bigger on that, Shaq is now dropping an entire album with the previously unreleased song featuring Jay-Z and Nas.

In 2022, with the episode with Drink Champs Shaq spoke about collaborating with his heroes on the record called ‘No Love Lost’. Shaq explained, “It was me, [Jay-Z], Nas, Lord Tariq. People didn’t clear it, you know how it is with publishing and clearances.” However, what was really important for Shaq was to be in the studio with the big names than getting the music out. “I didn’t take it personal, because me being in the studio with Nas—I’m happy. I can call my boys and say that Nas or Jay-Z is here. Biggie’s at the house. That’s what it’s all about.”

Well, Shaq now seems to have grown serious on that aspect; finding himself another side quest ‘to fall back on,’ as speculations about his job title changing soon with Inside the NBA’s possible end float around.

Shaq’s third album ‘You Can’t Stop The Reign’ FINALLY comes to DSPs this Friday, June 28th… And for the first time ever, the previously unreleased original version of “No Love Lost” featuring both Nas & Jay-Z will be included (their first-ever collab) 🌧️🌧️🌧️,” FakeShore Drive shared on X.

It was back in 1996, the studio version of the track, No Love Lost, featuring Shaq, Jay-Z, and Lord Tariq had a brief first appearance. It was also the phase when Jay-Z and Nas had a feud brewing, which would last for about a decade from then. That would have prevented the song to take the form announced today. Now with the feud called off, Shaq has well hopped on the opportunity.

But releasing the album is not the only thing Shaq is pumped about. Recently he took to X to showcase his upcoming tour.

Shaq is ready for the off-season

After the Cleveland Guardians beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-3, DJ Diesel had his set ready for the Rock and rock capital of the world. Needless to say, the 34,830 seat was full to the brim. And like we said earlier, hits keep coming, Shaq has announced his tour during the off-season on his social media.

“Diesel Festival season starts now!” he wrote in his X post. He continued that the sites for shows at the LA Shrine Show and Orlando Block Party had crashed, signifying the crazy response. Shaquille O’Neal had recently announced a one-night performance as DJ Diesel at LA’s Shrine Auditorium on August 23, 2024. Apart from this, the 15x All-Star also announced other shows, one in Buffalo on August 17 and his Bass All-Stars in Orlando on October 19.

On Spotify, the artist has 17 more shows lined up for the fans. So its safe to say the entertainment provided by Shaq is at its peak. Be it rapping or DJing, O’Neal doesn’t miss a beat.
