Adam Lefkoe put it beautifully – if Shaq pranks you, you’d not know for hours. One person in Los Angeles probably doesn’t know yet but will have his suspicions when he sees this week’s The Big Podcast. Can’t get a confession out of Shaquille O’Neal though. He has prankster DNA and is a stickler for statute of limitations on pranks too. This was only a funny story he happened to share.
It was about a “video game guy” who “kept bothering us in LA.” The bothersome gamer would come by Shaq’s turf and flaunt his $400,000 Ferrari to the NBA legend known for Franksteining Ferraris to fit his 7’1″ frame. Until one day his Ferrari fell victim to an unfortunate incident. “He comes back and he said ‘hey man, somebody put a piece of s**t in my Ferrari.'”
We could’ve done without the complementary illustrations to go along with the story. O’Neal himself couldn’t get through his sentences without giggling, probably remembering the irritation of the video game guy. One of Shaq’s friends even suggested a dog probably got into the sports car. Video game guy apparently snapped at that point and yelled, “Ain no dog going to climb in a $400,000 Ferrari.”

But this is a cold case according to Shaq who says, “somebody put a big piece of s**t right in the middle.” Emphasis on ‘somebody.’ He claims he doesn’t know who did it. He probably was an innocent spectator of that video game guy’s Ferrari suffering an unfortunate episode. There are other incidents though where the suspect is undeniably a seven foot giant.
Shaquille O’Neal owns up to his finest prank yet
Once Matt Barnes started talking about that incident, it was obvious the statute of limitations was up. That left Shaquille O’Neal to reveal the epic saga of his prank war with Lou Amundson in Phoenix. O’Neal had been tormenting him all season, from hiding his bike to messing with his haircare products. Video game guy should be grateful there was no urine in his shoes unlike what Amundson got.
Amundson was “tough” though, as per Shaq, and would retaliate. He took a year’s worth of revenge by stuffing Shaq’s van with pink packing peanuts. The video of O’Neal cleaning up his van while his teammates laughed was one of his early viral hits on YouTube. In that same video, he vowed vengeance. That was when the infamous mouthguard incident happened. Typical for Shaq, he didn’t let Amundson find out the questionable place his mouthpiece had been and let him play the entire game with it.
Amundson didn’t know his entire team was cracking up over it. When he did find out after the game, he conceded the prank king title to Shaq.
