Shaquille O’Neal Celebrates New Year With 8-Legged ‘Companion’ as Oldest-Born Daughter Flaunts Bizarre Avatar

Shaquille O’Neal and his family had a blast to end the year. Shaq was joined by his eldest daughter, Taahirah O’Neal, in Dallas for the ‘Lights All Night’ electronic dance music festival. He was one of thirty-three artists who took the stage on the 31st to give the fans the time of their lives. It is safe to say that Shaquille O’Neal did just that, as he later received a gift from a fan.

Although the Los Angeles Lakers legend is not usually one to accept gifts during the holiday season, his daughter, Taahirah, showcased the peculiar gift received by the 4x champion after his DJ set on her Instagram story.

She wrote in her story, “A fan made Pops a “shaqtopus“.” Calling the ‘gift’ a bit bizarre would not do it justice. It looked like it came straight out of a science fiction movie.

It was a sculpture of Shaquille O’Neal’s face on what looks like an eight-legged octopus body with each leg closely resembling a finger. The picture shared by Taahirah becomes even more intriguing when we realize that the 8-legged Shaq was placed on a tub of ice with bottled water.

The O’Neal family was all up in arms to end the year. As Shaq had previously announced, he had DJ sets to get to at midnight to celebrate the new year in style.

Shaq had revealed previously that he would never do anything to jeopardize the empire that he had built. One of the first steps in doing that was to decide for himself that he would not drink in public.

But recently, in an interview with Udonis Haslem, Shaquille O’Neal revealed that he plans on going crazy for the new year and having a few drinks along the way.

Either way, Shaq put on an energetic performance for his fans and was seen jumping behind the DJ booth the entire time while he was on stage.
