Anthony Edwards is slowly going up the ladder to become the next face of the NBA. While most of the players are unaware of how bright their future is, Ant-Man believes he can best the best player in the league very soon. However, when asked about his ceiling now, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard decided to be humble. Surprisingly, Shaquille O’Neal is not agreeing with it. On Inside the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed one infamous factor that makes Edwards very deadly on the court. Let’s see what it is.

In an interview with Taylor Rooks, Edwards was asked to rank his ceiling from 1-10, with 10 as the highest. The 22-year-old point guard said, “I’m like a 5”. However, Shaq believes Edwards is more than that. He shared ahead of game 2 between Phoenix Suns and the Wolves, “What I love about Ant-man is that that’s a young guy, he shows people respect by showing them none. He wants that spot. He said he’s a 5, I think he is a 7 right now.”  What’s the X-factor that pushed Shaq to say Edwards is a 7?

It’s Edwards’s ability to talk trash. Shaq continued, “He thinks he can improve more. He’s aggressive, he plays hard. I think you know, KAT(Karl Anthony-Towns) and Rudy(Gobert) finally say, ‘You know what young fella, this is your team’, and listen they follow his lead. When he’s in the game, when he’s talking smack, Minnesota is hard to beat.”

With that said, Shaq is expecting the Timberwolves to extend their lead to 2-0 in this first-round match-up. Also, it looks like Edwards took notes of Shaq’s analysis.

Anthony Edwards continues his mean-mugging towards the Phoenix Suns

Like Shaq said, Edwards showing his mean side to the Phoenix Suns is absolutely working. He just had 15 points today, but the Timberwolves were dangerous on the defensive end. With 5 minutes left in the third quarter, Beal tried a tough left-hand layup but was denied next to the rim by Edwards, who smacked the ball out of bounds. He did not stop with that. He stared down Beal, who was on the floor after getting rejected.

Notably, it was a one-point game when this play took place, and after this, the Wolves went on to outscore the Suns in both the third and fourth quarters. Edwards was talking trash to his favorite player Kevin Durant in the previous game as well. He hit a tough three-pointer on KD and took advantage through trash-talking. The Suns superstar was just in denial as he went on to smile. Also, like Shaq expected, the Wolves are now 2-0, and the Suns are on the brink of elimination.
