Shaquille O’Neal is a blessing to humanity. After his basketball career, the legend has contributed much to making the world a better and brighter place. However, behind his generous and kind gestures, it is his parents who influenced him. He has always mentioned how his parents, Lucille O’Neal and Phillip A. Harrison, taught him to be kind to people. In his latest interview, the Los Angeles Lakers legend shared an emotional and heartwarming story about his father that inspired him.

When his Army Sergent father got some extra cash and took him out for a” special lunch,” O’Neal mentioned how he later gave all the extra money and food to a needy man.
“We each ordered six double-doubles. We didn’t eat all the twelve and on the way home, we passed a homeless man sitting on the side of the road. My dad stopped, got out of the car, and gave him our food and the rest of the cash.” O’Neal also shared the reason and said, “I asked him why he did that and answered, ‘he needs it more than we do.’ I can’t tell how much that influenced me.”
