“Some accolades mean more than others🥹.” This was Shaquille O’Neal’s reaction when he hit 50,000 followers on Spotify. The milestone news is worthy of celebration because it was his DJ Diesel profile and not his famous rap profile, which has over 507k monthly listeners and 119k followers. In his relatively short EDM career, Shaq has already worked with several major artists. Yet, he wanted to do more and kept the promise he made in January as we gear up for his next song!

Two months ago, DJ Diesel stated on X, “I feel like we can all agree that 2025 is the year everyone needs to release all the songs in the vault, me included so keep an eye out for that.” The social media activity is from his alternate account with his DJ moniker and already had more than 100k views. The 4x NBA champion further added, “That being said I still got a list of some dream collabs.” He goes on to list Ray Volpe, Rezz, Tape B, Levity, Eptic, Space Laces, TroyBoi, Disco Lines, HOL! and ATLiens.

His next song is not with those named artists, but with artist GorillaT aka Tate Warner. “We are SO proud to finally present to you all… “PAY RESPECT” 🔥 THIS FRIDAY.” The collaboration post was with Shaquille O’Neal, and he dropped a comment to hype the announcement even further. “Respectfully, this song fu–s.”
