Charles Barkley has a bad habit. He consumes diet coke instead of water. After already breaking his New Year’s resolution of stopping the consumption of diet coke, the Inside the NBA cast was not going to let the Philadelphia 76ers legend off the hook. However, Shaquille O’Neal hilariously made fun of Barkley’s taste buds as he recently failed miserably in a taste test while in search of a newer alternative for his diet coke cravings. During a recent episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley was presented with numerous drinks for him to try out. But it was a blind taste test, and Chuck had to guess which flavor it was.

However, no one was expecting Charles Barkley to mess up completely. When he was presented with a chocolate-flavored soda, the 11x All-Star had no idea what he was tasting as he said, “I think that’s some type of vegetable.” Shaquille O’Neal was not expecting this answer either, as there is a night-and-day difference between chocolate and a vegetable. So Shaq hilariously replied, “Vegetable? Auburn University.“

Shaquille O’Neal never lets go of any chance to make fun of his co-host, Charles Barkley. This time the Big Aristotle took a dig at Chuck’s college education to point out how his intelligence might not be that great. But his alma mater is a sore spot, and might be cause for retaliation from the 1993 NBA MVP.

Barkley finds it extremely hard to keep away from diet cokes. He recently revealed that he has 15 to 20 diet cokes a day. Since then, his co-hosts have been trying to help him find a healthier alternative.

Though today they helped Chuck test out new drinks to find an alternative for his ‘drinking’ habits, this was not the first time. The crew have been extremely supportive of Barkley and his new year’s resolution to stop having diet cokes.

When Sir Charles initially revealed his resolution to the Inside the NBA crew, they got rid of Barkley’s stash of diet Cokes from under the table and made him try out water instead. But it is safe to say that the resolution has not gone his way, as he has been drinking diet Coke every day since.
