Shaq made $286 million during his NBA career. To put it into perspective, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown recently signed a 5-year deal worth $305 million! Nevertheless, O’Neal went on to explore the business world and gained tremendous success. During the show, ‘Rock & Roll Road Trip,’ O’Neal was asked about what keeps him motivated.

He stated, “The same old thing. I have set goals for myself so now that I am done playing; just want to remain successful. The best thing I did after I made a lot of money is to stop thinking about money. So when you don’t have anything you’re like, ‘I got to get 10 million, I got to get 50 million.'”

He added, “So now that I got that, I don’t even think about it and I am very strategic in what I do. If it’s good and coming from the right place, eight out of ten times it will be successful.”
