Luka Doncic had a record-breaking night against the Atlanta Hawks. The 24-year-old dropped 73 points in the game, becoming the highest scorer in the league since the late, great Kobe Bryant dropped 81. While Doncic surprised everyone with his performance, soon it was time for him to be surprised.

And that job went to none other than the NBA’s favorite Big Man, Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq played a fun game where he tried to translate Slovenian sentences into English. Since that is Doncic’s home country, he gave the sentences to Shaq.

Surprisingly, the Big Aristotle got three correct answers out of five. The first question was fairly easy, “DJ Diesel”, which sounds the same in both languages. For the second one, Doncic recalled one of the most iconic Shaq lines from Inside the NBA show when he was going at Charles Barkley. The Big Man guessed “Google me Chuck” in Slovenian as well. Now that he secured some dubs, it was time for Shaq to throw in some not-so-subtle bragging. He said, “I speak his language.”

Shaq’s third guess, “I’m going to the hookah bar” was also spot on, and he cracked it up with the word “Shisho” since Shisha is Arabic for hookah. From there, Shaq missed the next two mistaking “I have four rings” for “Yes Mom I’m still pretty” and “Gone fishing” for “Show some respect”. Seems like Shaq celebrated a bit too early. Regardless, 3-2 is still a win.

Luka Doncic looked after Shaquille O’Neal on his trip to Croatia

Being on good terms with most people has its perks, and Shaq might know this more than anyone else. The Big Man is always showing love to people, especially the ones who he finds genuine. Doncic happens to be one such individual in Shaq’s book, so when he visited Croatia for his DJ gig, he received a warm and grand welcome from the Dallas Mavericks star. Doncic had everything set up for the Big Man and he detailed it on his podcast.

He said, “When I arrived at Luka’s town, some people picked me up. They drove me to a mansion that Luka had set up for me. I had the pizza there. I had the hookah, I had the fruit. They escorted me to the show and then Luka said, ‘Shaq, nothing’s gonna happen to you in my town, Mr. O’Nealovich”. Not only that Shaq receive a royal welcome, but he also got a new nickname.
