Who is your favorite comic duo? Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson are the first two names that come to mind. Whether as comedy buddies or two mismatched partners on an adventure, their on-screen chemistry is one of the most entertaining. Be it their drastic height difference or their compatible style, this odd duo works brilliantly. As the pair has ruled the comic duos for a long time, Shaquille O’Neal has decided to team up with another comedian to overthrow them!

Should the duo be worried? The Big Aristotle loves comedy. He has said that if he were ever to seriously take on an acting job (he has acted before), it would be in a comedy film. And it looks like the time has come. In the latest segment of The Big Podcast, famous comedian Bert Kreischer joined O’Neal and Adam Lefkoe. When discussing iconic comic duos like Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker and Hart & Johnson, O’Neal expressed his desire to take over with a movie alongside Kreischer.

Calling out Hart and Johnson, O’Neal even invited production houses in movie industry (valued at $136 billion) to approach him. “Kevin and Rock it’s over. Me and Bert’s gonna take over. Beware of Bert and Shaq. I’m challenging all movie studios to write a movie for me,” Shaq said. However, even if O’Neal takes on this challenge, it will be a formidable one.

After all, Hart and Johnson are fan favorites. The duo has starred in nearly five hit movies, including Central Intelligence, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Jumanji: The Next Level, and they have even made cameo appearances in other films. Their second movie together, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, raked in $2 billion.

The two also share a strong friendship off-screen, which likely enhances their chemistry. Will O’Neal and Bert be able to compete? Well, the 4x NBA champ does have experience.

Shaquille O’Neal’s brief acting career

Not just in basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers legend has also tried his hand at deejaying and acting. While his acting career was brief, he appeared in some notable movies. He starred in Blue Chips, where Penny Hardaway also made a surprising appearance.

He had an interesting role in the famous basketball movie Uncle Drew and appeared in Jack and Jill, Grown Ups 2, Blended, Kazaam, The House Bunny, and more. Do you remember Shaq in Steel? The movie didn’t perform well, earning only $1.7 million despite a $16 million budget.

O’Neal has experience with comedy shows as well. He helped create Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star Comedy Jam, where Kevin Hart was a headliner. However, there’s a catch, O’Neal is also intimidated by comedy since it’s a tough craft. Will he be able to conquer his fear and dethrone the best comic duos?
