Bad Bunny is already booked for February 8, 2026. But what’s he doing before Super Bowl LX? Because his biggest fan (literally) has an offer for him. The Latino artist was booked for the halftime show, set to take place at Levi’s Stadium, which elicited a wave of mixed reactions; even the POTUS didn’t hold back. But we’re not here for any political diplomacy talk. We’re here to talk about how Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t part of the naysayers. A month ago, he was fanboying over the guy who made Latin trap mainstream. Now, DJ Diesel wants to ride the Bad Bunny hypetrain to the Super Bowl.

Shaq usually has opinions about the halftime performer. Last year, he was disappointed Lil Wayne didn’t get to perform in NOLA, but he is a huge fan of Kendrick Lamar. No mixed feelings this time, though. He’s thrilled for Bad Bunny’s return to the Super Bowl (he was a guest in Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s Halftime performance in 2020).

While in New York to promote Shaq-a-Licious XL Gummies and give out free sneakers to kids, DJ Diesel told Entertainment Tonight he could spice up Shaq’s Fun House if Bad Bunny is willing. “I love Bad Bunny. He’s one of the greatest performers. He says my name a lot. Bad Bunny, if you’re listening, you’re definitely invited to come do a song or two at the Shaq’s Fun House,” the retired hoopster said.

Irrespective of who performs at the halftime show, there’s one constant: Shaq’s Fun House, an entire pre-Super Bowl carnival featuring musical acts. It usually doesn’t intersect with the main event as O’Neal brings his own lineup of artists.

Shaq’s Fun House is usually the Friday before the Super Bowl. So, Bad Bunny’s potential pre-event appearance wouldn’t interfere with the main act the following Sunday. Last year’s edition was expected to attract over 6,000 attendees, less than half the attendance of Shaq’s Bass All-Stars, but still substantial! And if that’s not possible, the NBA legend has another standing offer for Bad Bunny.

Shaquille O’Neal has been really interested in collaborating with Bad Bunny!

Super Bowl LX will be in Santa Clara, California, far removed from Lakers town. But it’s bringing Shaq‘s annual Super Bowl festivities back to California after a couple of years. It’ll be a while before the lineup is announced, but the 7’1″ legend’s own EDM performance is set in stone.

What would be new is if Shaq convinced Bad Bunny to drop a brand-new track. Before the halftime performer was announced, O’Neal told VICE last month, “The hip hop guys always say similar stuff, but Bad Bunny has been saying my name. I don’t know what he is saying. Bad Bunny, if you are listening, I want to do a song with you. I actually got to learn, I actually got to pull out my Rosetta Stone and learn Spanish if he keeps saying my name. Hopefully, he is saying good stuff. Bad Bunny, I want to do a song with you.”

The hoops giant is serious about being more than just a name on a Bad Bunny track. He’s not only willing to brush up on those Spanish skills he claims to have learnt from his neighbor in San Antonio, but he also made a sales pitch for a potential song while in New York. “It’ll be fresh, and it’ll be the greatest song ever.”

It sounds like the Lakers legend already has some ideas in mind. His previous collaborators, such as Luke Gawne, revealed that Shaq came up with half of the lyrics for “Chaos” in merely a few days! He was “blown away” after seeing the big man’s passion for music. Isn’t that an excellent quality in a collaborator? How about that offer, Bad Bunny?
