You thought he was joking? Shaq really did splurge on one of the fanciest vehicles on the planet. Once a Tesla hater, a misunderstanding with LeBron James somehow got a certain dealership on Shaquille O’Neal’s radar. Now the giant has another Tesla creation from the same guys. All because he’s a little lazy to move his favorite car around. Shaq’s generally inclined to the Dodge Charger, which he has in numbers in almost all his garages across the nation, because he can fit his 7-foot frame in it. So there was some doubt if he fit in a Tesla model. Well, if he didn’t, would he be getting another one?

Effortless Motors, the car dealership that had a tiff with Bron and hooked Shaq with a Tesla CyberTruck less than three months ago, shared their latest interaction with O’Neal. The caption summarized the context. “Big Shaq missed his Cyberbeast, so he’s ordering a new one from us. This time, it’s getting a custom all-black makeover. Stay tuned‼️ATL HERE WE COME.

Yes, that’s exactly what happened folks. Remember Shaq had serious FOMO when the TNT crew went to a bar after work so he went and bought himself a hookah bar? This is why Charles Barkley says Shaq has too much money. Shaq dropped cold hard cash to not only get another one, but he customized them. The cherry on the cake is the original price of this beast, a whopping $189,998.

The first truck is apparently in Las Vegas, and O’Neal is back in Atlanta. So he had to Facetime his guy at Effortless Motors for a ‘favor.’ “I hate to sound soft but I’m missing my CyberTruck,” Shaq told his friend. “I don’t want to ship it from Vegas to Atlanta. So I’mma just go ahead and buy another one. So I’mma need another one, like black on black, some wheels.” We’re assuming O’Neal’s first purchase was the classic silver finish and he wants an all-black beast for the second one.

The dealership guy had Shaq confirm it a couple of times because he probably doesn’t get these requests over Facetime. But O’Neal insisted he calls him back when the details are taken care of. To think he has complained about fitting in any Tesla only recently.

Shaquille O’Neal is in the Tesla community now

Although a notorious hotrod, Shaq has always struggled to fit in his favorite cars unless they’re customized to his size. He resolved to buying muscle cars and pushing the seats back. He even made one of his sons buy a Charger over a Tesla.

Youtuber Funny Marco hosted him on his show in May, poking fun at Shaq’s inability to fit even in a spacious Cybertruck. Like the fox in that classic, O’Neal said his truck was better than the CyberBeast. Then an incident changed his mind.

In June, LeBron James called out Effortless Motors for fake marketing after they posted that the King had purchased a Bugatti from them. James said he doesn’t even own that car. The post was taken down but had already come to Shaq’s attention. He was enamored by the CyberTruck advertised on their page and commented, “I need that.” Within the hour, the page posted a snippet of their call with Shaq about delivering his CyberBeast.

Apparently, the dealership cleared it up with Shaquille O’Neal that a clumsy intern made that post and they apologized to James. They must have won his trust to earn his continued patronage now.
