NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal was not just a basketball star, but he has been a prominent figure off it as well. A doting father to his kids, he also urged them to make their own name while being their constant supporter. His son Myles O’Neal often joins him for shows and concerts as both share a love for music. The 4x NBA champion’s youngest daughter, Me’Arah O’Neal, is also following in her father’s footsteps by becoming a professional basketball player. While she reigns over the basketball floor, she was recently in her feelings as a millionaire singer gave a touching tribute to the recently deceased Angus Cloud at the Lollapalooza Music Festival.

The young aspiring basketball player is one year away from playing college basketball. She has already received offers from some of the big universities. But the rising star is most likely to join her father, O’Neal’s alma matter. Before unveiling her decision to the fans, the 17-year-old showed respect and admiration for 21-year-old sensation Billie Eilish.

Fans were hit with the unexpected tragic news of ‘Euphoria’ star Angus Cloud’s death on July 31, 2023. According to the reports, his death was due to an overdose. The news sent a wave of sadness and emotions throughout the world.

During her Lollapalooza performance, famed music star, Billie Eilish took a moment to pay homage to the late actor. The 21-year-old sang the Euphoria song, ‘Never Felt so alone.’ After the end of the song, she said, “RIP Angus Cloud, everybody.”

Emotional by the powerful tribute, the 4x time NBA champion’s daughter shared a post of Eilish on her IG story and wrote, “Billie has my heart.”

Me’Arah is the youngest daughter of Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson. She was just 1-year-old when her parents divorced. But the former NBA star has always supported his daughter in her endeavors.

Shaquille O’Neal taught mean game skills to his daughter

In a podcast, the NBA legend revealed that his daughter was inspired to play basketball after she watched WNBA superstar Candace Parker. However, later, O’Neal transformed his daughter to play with the ‘dog mentality’. He urged her to be mean on the court. And that might have changed the game for the young player.
