Shaquille O’Neal ended the All-Star weekend on the top! Shaq’s OG’s went home with the trophy and Stephen Curry won the MVP award. But the Lakers legend is not the only member of the family to have recent wins in the bag. His youngest kids are part of different Florida teams to make waves during their college careers.

Shaqir O’Neal recorded his first collegiate double-double. The FAMU star scored 12 points, got 10 rebounds and  2 blocks. He was the third-highest scorer for his team, with Milton Matthews leading with 26 points and Ja’Derryus Eatmon followed with 16 points. It was enough for the Rattlers to beat the Alcorn State Braves by nine points in the end.

Interestingly, Florida A&M never trailed on the way to an 85-76 victory. The 21-year-old added a post from page The Portal Report and Low Major Hoops. The highlights video of Shaqir already had close to 7k views, as few of the family members shared the feat. It was fellow Florida sibling, Me’Arah and elder brother Shareef O’Neal who shared the post on their Instagram story.

Currently, their parents Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie Henderson are yet to express their emotions on social media. Shaq and Shaunie are separated but made sure to co-parent their children successfully. A glimpse of it can be seen in how they divided the activities in the public eye for their kids.

The 4x NBA champion, apart from being the basketball icon, has taken more entrepreneurship roles post-retirement. Not to forget his analyst duty with TNT on Tuesdays and with Inside the NBA crew. Similarly, Shaunie Henderson is the executive producer of Basketball Wives and also the First Lady of the Houston church. Despite the busy schedule, they made time for the FAMU star.

The game against the Texas Southern Tigers had an emotional bearing, so mother Shaunie was in attendance. What’s the emotional return you may ask, so here it is. It was a visit to his old stomping ground, where he played for two seasons before transferring to the Rattlers. In the game could only contribute with 6 points. Earlier in the season, in the debut game of the season, it was Shaquille O’Neal who was in the stands supporting his son.

It was a conundrum for Shaunie Henderson, “The moments I wish I could split myself in half…” Because Me’Arah’s debut game too was on at the same time. So the parents decided to attend both games but individually.
