With 40 cars in his garage, which include custom Tesla Cybertrucks, Shaquille O’Neal knows how to take care of one. He currently does commercials for The General Insurance Company which focuses on auto insurance. But once, he helped his longtime friend unknowingly to avoid any damage to the car. Interestingly, the friend was driving to Shaq’s favorite place, a hookah lounge.

I want to give thanks too. One day I was in Atlanta driving to a hookah lounge, and I was in a McLaren. I was trying to pull up and park. I see this real tall dude get out of the car and he helped me back it up,” said DJ Whoo Kid during the latest livestream of Whozfire. Even Shaquille O’Neal was surprised that he was his friend, who he helped. “That was you?

The 52-year-old DJ was driving a McLaren but did not specify which specific model of the $2.2 Billion car company. The Lakers legend also explained his reasoning behind the help. “You know why? It’s an expensive car. I don’t want him to ricochet out.” DJ Whoo Kid appreciated the help and described how he felt getting help from The Big Aristotle. “I was like who is this guy? He’s pretty tall for a valet guy.”

Shaquille O’Neal’s latest project, Whozfire, helps the upcoming artists to showcase their talent. The show pits up-and-coming artists against each other in a battle for a $30,000 prize. It was the Sweet 16 round, where the artists were going head-to-head, song versus song, in a single-elimination, NCAA-style bracket. Similarly, during his initial days as a DJ, Shaq got a big help from DJ Whoo Kid.

Before we get started, I owe this man (Whoo Kid) a thank you… When I first started DJing for the people, I was fu–ing bombing. BOMBING! Terrible. He came over. He was next to me, he was like, ‘Play this, play this.'”

During the livestream, the Lakers legend mentioned how he never got to thank his friend, who he has known for 15 years. “He took over for 10 minutes and the crowd picked up and I was like, ‘Damn’. If he wasn’t there I would have fu–ing bombed. So Whoo Kid, thank you for having my back.” While this seemingly was a happy ending, Shaq may have ignored his other friends after promising them some luxury cars.

Shaquille O’Neal failed to help other friends with their automobile

We all know, that the 4x NBA Champion gave a gift to LeBron James that too a high-end automobile. For the 25th birthday of his former Cleveland teammate, Shaq gave a Rolls Royce Phantom, which cost a staggering amount of $400,000. But he did not do the same for his former teammates at the Miami Heat.

During the episode with Dwyane Wade, The OGs podcast host Udonis Haslem recalled the incident. “The man told me and Dwyane if we win our first championship, he said, ‘If we win this title, I’mma buy y’all Bentleys. The man ain’t bought us Bentleys. We was motivated as hell, but what me and Dwyane did was go buy our own Bentleys…We believed, we was young, we ain’t know no damn better.”

Even The Flash humorously called out Shaquille O’Neal, “But we got that chip though. Big fella did us right, he do owe us the Bentleys.”

So from saving people from scratching their cars to gifting cars to his teammates (not UD or D-Wade), Shaq definitely knows the value of a good car.
