Now, nearly two decades after the divorce, Shaq’s married life is once again under the spotlight. Shaunie Henderson has found herself in the center of it all.

To address the controversies surrounding her married life with ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie Henderson decided to write a book. On May 7th, she officially released her book titled “Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms,“ offering a glimpse into her married life from her own perspective.

As expected, within hours of its release, the book started making waves online. She began with, “After almost a year of planning, I left my husband of nearly seven years, Shaquille O’Neal, along with the life and children I had come to know. Moving back in with my parents was the only choice I had for peace.” However, this wasn’t the only shocking revelation from her side.

Shaunie’s perspective

She added, “I told my divorce attorneys that I didn’t want to fight with Shaquille. I just wanted him to take care of his kids. I didn’t care about anything else… I also told them I don’t want a cent of Shaquille’s money, and I meant it.” Not only this, but she also unveiled the basic reason behind her divorce.

“I wanted to be free to have the life I wanted on my terms, even while raising five kids under eleven…For years my role in life has been clear. I was a wife and a mother. I was a daughter and a sister. Occasionally I was a fantastic hostess.” she said. Apart from this, there are many allegations leveled against Shaquille O’Neal, hinting that he was cheating on her during his Lakers’ days. But, obviously, this is only one side of the story.
