Former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade spoke with Bob Metelus on the latest episode of the Wine Down Podcast, on how The Why with Dwyane Wade podcast with Donatella Versace and Candace Parker were his favorites. He respects the two women for what they do in their craft but also what they do outside of that. Wade felt like a fan speaking to two of them and said “…really just really dope to be able to sit with those with those two women..

Talking about the podcast with Candace Parker, Wade felt he could speak about basketball for hours with her. But knowing that Parker stands for much more than basketball, his favorite part was when she was talking about family. Especially talking about her wife Anna Petrakov and their public relationship.

Wade said,” Talking about our family you know where you know she was talking about um Anya who is her wife. And you know the journey you know to their marriage becoming a public thing. Um and you know as two people in the public eye how you deal with it and what you you know what the process is.”

Wade explained and was thankful to Parker for opening up about the vulnerable and intimate moment of her life. Further talking about how sometimes it can become difficult to share some moments not just publicly but even with someone they know. Thinking how the entire thing was a cool moment for him. Dwyane Wade is a big family guy and recently was celebrating her mother-in-law’s birthday with the entire Union-Wade Clan.  The Miami Heat icon was seen shaking a leg with his mother-in-law. While also shared photos on his Instagram story and wrote, “Happy Birthday to my Mother-In-Law.” It’s easy to see that Dwyane Wade wholeheartedly supports his wife, and he has demonstrated this before as well.

Dwyane Wade and his support for his wife

In 2020, Gabrielle Union was fired from the sets of America’s Got Talent and called out the reality show for discrimination. Union expected that she would receive some support from her fellow friend and the host of AGT, Terry Crews. However, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor did not stand up for Union, which later turned into a beef between the two.

Crews called out Union several times on Twitter, but he later realized his mistake and gave a public apology. During that time, Crews wrote some tweets hinting towards Union and Wade came in support of his wife and wrote “Someone please take @terrycrews phone”.

Wade during the Wine Down Podcast,” I appreciate him bringing it to the forefront the way he did because I would never bring him to the forefront. This is a conversation that him and I had as two men.”
