Maybe the narrative of him switching to Golden State at the time and then leaving, he should have stayed in Golden State.” Explaining further he said KD could have won 6 championships and it would have been easier to write his story.

However, Sebastian Telfair once again emphasized he already considers Durant as one of the GOATS. “You won a championship, you made all the money you want, you got your Nike deal. You’re the coolest dude like yo’ you are the goat bro.” Telfair suggests that KD should have stayed with the Warriors in order to raise his stocks in the GOAT conversation. However, Durant had a totally different viewpoint on the GOAT conversation.

Durant was drafted as overall #2 by the then-named organization Seattle Supersonics. Thunder and KD parted ways after the 15-16 conference finals which they lost to the Warriors. The ‘Slim Reaper’ announced via Players’ Tribune that he was moving to the Bay Area. After 8 seasons with the Thunder, the move was hated by the fans since they disliked the method of him trying to win a championship.

Since then KD hasn’t lived up to the hype of him winning and now the rumors of him leaving the Suns’ are also rampant. However, he has categorically denied it. “I get sad when people buy into lies and just make up s–t,” said Durant.

So, KD feels him moving to the Warriors was the reason for him not being considered one of the greats. But his former teammate Sebastian Telfair feels KD moving away from the Dub Nation might be the reason.
