DJ Vlad asked Arenas about the embarrassing situation Williamson had to face and other NBA players being silent on the matter. Apparently, Moriah Mills went on a Twitter rant and said she was in a relationship with him, getting the NBA player’s name tattooed on her face. It happened when Zion Williamson announced he was having a baby with his girlfriend, Ahkeema, to which Arenas replied, ” You’re. you’re doing the same thing we’re doing.”
Arenas also believes many players did not respond because they are also involved in similar activities. According to him, several of these players might lack responsibility for a settled life, as he claimed, “Just sitting there taking care of you, making you feel comfortable. So you can just keep doing your life without any responsibility of emotional women. The bad part is, she was that emotional threat that you don’t see coming, right? So when you, when she ( Mills) sees something in the news, she responds to it. Instead of responding to it through you (Zion Williamson), she goes loud with it.” Arenas is already known for saying things that have eventually created some kind of controversy, and this was yet another of his debated statements. Previously, he questioned Jokic’s 2021 season, where Jokic was awarded the MVP. “

He is the worst MVP winner in the last forty years.” Recently, he also dismissed Zion Williamson’s team’s chances for the playoff spot and his reasoning was a bit bizarre.

Gilbert Arenas overlooks Zion Williamson and Co. for NBA playoff

Five Western Conference teams have already clinched a playoff berth, Williamson’s Pelicans and Phoenix Suns will join them currently and are most likely to be the final team to join. The play-in-battle involves one of the two, plus the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors. Arena made a bold prediction that the Lakers and Warriors would survive the play in battle because of the fans.

“Golden State and Lakers are about to be in the playoffs,” Gil said on his podcast. “

Them other two teams that got no fan base, get on out of here! We don’t want to see you. … Pelicans and Sacramento in five or six games? Nobody’s watching those games.”

While his prediction is understandable, but taking jibes and shots at fans is unacceptable. Because of such a situation, he always is in hot waters with fans, especially with Pelicans and Kings fans.
