A new year and a new drama began for Dwight Howard. His ex-girlfriend Royce Reed, with whom he shares his son Braylon, made several allegations at the end of this year. These are seemingly hinted at by the basketball legend. However, Howard isn’t focusing on any of that. He has taken the high road. While he has been seemingly quiet about the drama except for a simple message, Howard has shifted his focus more toward his new life. Just recently, he shared a new post showing off the happy vibes. 

Howard and his fiancée, Amy Luciani recently took a trip to Thailand. Along with the couple, the basketball legend’s daughters, Layla and Jayde, also joined for the trip. The family was seen rafting as well as playing with elephants and more. He shared some highlights of the trip on his Instagram handle.

This New Year’s journey was even more special for another reason. It was Howard’s daughter Jayde’s birthday on December 29. “So blessed to be able to bring the New Year in with family 🎊❤️ We are celebrating my daughter Jayde’s birthday right here in Thailand 🇹🇭and I’m bringing in the New Year with my wife to be 🤞🏾♾️🤞🏾　#happynewyear #worldsmiletour #2025,” he captioned the other post. 

Howard’s happy trip with his family came right after Reed made the claims on social media.

What allegations did Royce Reed make?

Reed recently made a new account on Instagram under the name “Ihadababybysuperman.” Through that IG handle, Reed shared several videos explaining her claims. In the first post, she even threatened to expose the truth about the basketball legend.

“I had a baby by Superman, and here’s his f—ing kryptonite. Imma post the texts and emails too if you keep playing with me and calling my bluff. I know about way more than you think I do so imma leave the initials R.E. to let you know it’s ON,” Reed said. Among her many allegations, she claimed that Howard had reportedly asked her not to dance for her dream team.

She also reportedly accused him of cheating on her and more. The former Orlando Magic player’s response had been nothing but simply good wishes for Reed. “This is my HOF year. I’m getting married. God is amazing. And I’m so grateful and I wish Royce nothing but the best peace and [blessings],” Howard wrote in the comments section of TheShade Room’s IG post. There is also currently a talk about another reality series, The Ladies of Orange County, which would seemingly feature even more drama.
