A galaxy of stars descended at the Emmy awards ceremony recently. Among the most glamorous award ceremonies is the recognition for outstanding contributions to television broadcasting. This year, the gesture of honor was presented to a 77-year-old renowned broadcaster.

Robert Horry expressed his happiness through his Instagram post. Several stars and people associated with the Los Angeles Lakers quickly joined the 7-time NBA champion to celebrate the legend’s achievement.

For 36 years, Stu Lantz has been the center of television broadcasting. Recognizing his relentless contributions to the basketball world, Lantz is the fourth Southern California Sports broadcaster to receive the award.

Among the stars present ‘The Big Shot Bob’, who spent 7 years with the Lakers team from 1997 to 2003. He immediately took to Instagram to share his excitement. He posted a picture of him with his wife, Keva Develle, and another picture of him on stage.

The post was captioned, “An unforgettable weekend paying tribute to the one and only Stu Lantz at the Los Angeles Area Emmys. Cheers to all the winners!”

He also thanked the other winners in his post. The likes section of the post was marked by some of the greatest stars associated with the Lakers. Matt Barnes (who played with the Lakers from 2010 to 2012) and current Lakers player Austin Reeves liked the post. The president and controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jeanie Buss, also liked the post.

The broadcasting feats of Stu Lantz

On 15 June, the Lakers ‘ official Twitter account announced the selection of Lakers analyst Stu Lantz. It informed of his receiving of the 75 Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award. The basketball star began his television career in 1987 with the Purple and Gold.

The Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Famer has called the games for several big players. Already 77, Lantz might not have time on his hands to cover some of the best youngsters from the 2k24 Summer League. Yet, the celebrated broadcaster isn’t calling it quits anytime soon.
