An 8x NBA All-Star’s reunion with Shaquille O’Neal in China brought back fond memories for the 2000s NBA fans. The last time they met was in 2019 when the two got inducted into the HOF. Four years later, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaq’s surprise visit to China gave the fans yet another beautiful moment. To make it even more decorative, the former Houston Rockets star had a wholesome gift for his 7-foot friend. Funnily enough, O’Neal had promised his 7’6 tall former rival an insane wedding gift years ago.

Apart from the rivalry during their careers, both Ming and Shaq were great friends off the court, which led the latter to gift the Rockets legend something bizarre.

Shaq is idolized in China. With a huge fan base, the 51-year-old is currently enjoying his time interacting with his Chinese fans. Last week, Shaq was seen promoting Papa John’s 300th store, signing cards and jerseys for the fans but his interaction with basketball icon Yao Ming won fans’ hearts.

Moreover, this is probably the best time to visit China, considering the Asian Games, which kicked off a week ago. On this occasion, former Rockets star decided to gift Shaq a few ‘Hangzhou Asian Games’ mascots to make their reunion a bit more special.

Shaq revealed something bizarre that he was planning to do for Yao Ming’s third wedding ceremony in 2007. According to reports, the 2000 MVP revealed,?“I would give Yao four 24-inch customized rims at his wedding ceremony.”

Well, that’s an odd wedding gift. However, his motive should be credited. There aren’t reports confirming if Shaq actually gifted Ming a few wheel rims. The wedding ceremony took place twice in China and was planned for the third time in Houston.
