“We’ve got some special news. We’re debuting our duo, father-son duo, first father-son duo in the space, O’Neal Boyz.” This was the special announcement in July that Shaquille O’Neal son made about his DJing career. From there, it has been hit after hit as they have performed at multiple places, and now Myles O’Neal has made another announcement that is close to his heart, and his mother Shaunie Henderson couldn’t have been more proud.

Im so proud of you Mylzie 😍😍😍,” Shaunie Henderson commented on her son’s Instagram post. Myles stated his love for funk music started after watching Bow Wow’s work in the movie Roll Bounce. “And flashlight became one of my favorite songs of all time. Ive always wanted to be able to share this music with my fans. And its finally ready, and im so glad to have support from one of the biggest music legends of all time! Flashlight (Myles O’Neal Rework) dropping 9/27.

The 27-year-old also thanked artist George Clinton for helping him in the project. So when the childhood dream came true, even other family members appreciated the young DJ. Amirah wrote, “GOOO MYLESIEEE 😚😚😚 so proud of you!!” and Me’Arah O’Neal the youngest child in the family couldn’t wait to dance to the new tunes, as she wrote, “Mmmmmhmmmm🕺🏽🕺🏽.”

This announcement comes after Shaq’s Summer Bass 2024, as the father-son duo shared the stage at Bootshaus Cologne nightclub in Germany. Apart from the Tomorrowland debut, Myles also performed at Lollapalooza, which is host to nearly 400k people every year. So it seems the right mix for the $5 million net worth artist, as he is not only focusing on commercially performing but also finding time to release what is closer to his heart.

Recently, both Shaquille and Myles were part of the GOAT talks and almost spilled a few of the family secrets. The audience definitely enjoyed it as the 4x NBA champion dissed Rudy Gobert again, but Shaunie Henderson was upset with her son.

Shaunie Henderson disapproves of hating on players

Uploading the part of the interview on Instagram, where Shaq chose Gobert as the worst player of all time, Myles also had his take ready, which did not sit right with Shaunie Henderson. He said, “I think in true LA fashion, anybody that plays on the fu**ing Clippers. F**k the Clippers. I hate the Clippers so much. Anybody that plays for the Clippers, all of you, I hate you.”

Obviously, Shaq tried to stop during his son’s emotional and funny rant, but couldn’t. Similarly, Shaunie wrote in comments, “Myles!!!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️.” She hoped that the 27-year-old wouldn’t double down after hating on the Clippers in the YouTube video, but to her surprise, he tripled down on his take.

Additionally, for ‘The Battle of LA,’ Myles clearly chose the Lakers, not just because of his father’s legacy but also because he believes LeBron James to be the GOAT over his father’s favorite Michael Jordan. Even though he might have a different take on his father, he never shied away from working hard in the DJing career. In his young career, he has already achieved a lot, and with the funk music launch, it seems more is to come.
