Dwight Howard and his ex-girlfriend, Royce Reed, are back in the spotlight. The two previously attracted attention because of their rocky relationship and bold claims. The actress also made the headlines because of her claims involving NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, which the Big Aristotle publicly denied. This time, Reed opened up about what initially attracted her to the father of her child.

The 43-year-old sat with DJ Vlad to talk about her relationship and more. During the conversation, the actress spoke about what inspired her to get involved in a romantic relationship with Howard. Reed revealed how she was impressed by the then-Magic star?s personality. She said, ?I started enjoying being around him.”

She added, “It definitely wasn’t his looks, it was more his personality that I fell for and after about, like I said, two months we started going to Magic events together.” She also mentioned Howard’s kindness. Reed noted his habit of buying her many things. Even when the player was sponsored by Adidas, he provided her with outfits from the brand. ?

After welcoming their son Braylon on November 18, 2007, their relationship encountered numerous challenges. Issues with Howard’s other relationships and various different problems further strained their bond. The former Orlando Magic cheerleader once even accused the star player of portraying a false image in front of the camera.

Royce Reed doesn’t believe in Dwight Howard?s motivational video

While speaking to Vlad, the actress revealed that she is still with the 8x NBA All-Star. However, earlier this year, Reed called him out for pretending to be a good father in front of the camera. After Howard posted a video of him and his son, Reed took to Instagram to make her claims. She wrote, ?Not someone PRETENDING to be a parent for 1 day out of 365 for the cameras ? Don’t make Thursdays into Truth Thursday.?

Howard wasn’t the only NBA star she has accused, though. After she revealed that 4x NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal used to send her inappropriate text messages while he was still married to his ex-wife, Shaunie, Big Diesel shut her down by posting, “uh somebody needs money” on Instagram.
