The basketball star initiated the challenge with a spectacular performance, breaking Curry’s long-standing record in the 3-point contest, last year. Ionescu mesmerized fans by burying an astonishing 20 consecutive triples during the final round of the competition, amassing an impressive 37-point round. Months after her performance, the sharpshooter, Curry expressed his desire to reclaim his glory. He challenged Ionescu for a 3-point challenge. “I think I gotta bring her out…we gotta settle this once and for all,” said Curry. To the delight of fans, Ionescu quickly accepted Curry’s challenge. She took to her X account and wrote, “Let’s getttttt it!! See ya at the 3 pt line@StephenCurry30.”

Recently, Curry was asked about his opinion on participating in a contest against the WNBA star. He said, “I think this is like the coolest thing ever. … It’s gonna be great and I think the fans will love it!” Indeed, this contest is sure to enthrall players and viewers alike!
