Sports Stars in the entertainment world is nothing new. Sometimes the aura and confidence they ooze out on screen is unbelievable. Such are the emotions when you watch Uncut Gems featuring fans’ favorite Adam Sandler and basketball legend Kevin Garnett. Another star in the movie that didn’t go unnoticed by the fans was the gorgeous giant stone, the Opal. You must have seen Garnett’s character discussing the unique play of colors and the structure of the stone with Howard Ratner who is played by Sandler. As natural as it looked, much to fans’ dismay, the $225,000 worth of stone wasn’t real. However, it appears that some fans are either hopeful or merely want to tease Garnett as they hilariously keep probing him to talk about the stone.

The Big Ticket during his appearance in the latest episode of “The Ticket and the Truth” asked the fans to stop asking him about the opal as he dashed their hopes with the truth. “I get a bunch of fans off that s*t, man. The opal was not real, okay? So stop asking me for it, guys. Stop running up on me expecting to be around my neck. I do not have an opal, okay? That was a f**g movie. Snap out of it,” Garnett said.

Following this, he went on to express his gratitude to all those who supported the movie and showed their love. For the movie revolving around basketball and gambling, the creators, Benny and Josh Safdie who also happen to be avid New York Knicks fans picked Garnett.

While the champion was spectacular and shocked everyone with his acting skills, it can be argued that he had at least one thing in favor. During the conversation, the champ revealed the reason behind his confidence is the fact that he played himself. The Big Ticket played a fictionalized version of himself in the movie. The entire fictional story was set in 2012. “So having an opportunity, being able to be in the movie and play myself, I didn’t think that I could f**k up playing myself,” Garnett said to his co-host Paul Pierce and listeners. Furthermore, The Boston Celtics legend expressed his delight to have worked with some of the most talented people in Hollywood. About working in the movie, he added, “But the experience and being around other gifted people and gifted actors was a great experience for me.”

Another celebrity who played the fictionalized younger version of themself was Canadian singer Abel Tesfaye, popularly known as The Weeknd. Released in 2019, this brilliant movie is everything that NBA fans dream of. Have you seen the movie? Let us know in the comments section below.
