The Chicago Sky fought a hard battle to clinch the eighth and final spot for the postseason. The multi-billion franchise has definitely dipped when compared with its performance last year. While there might not be much hope against the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces, the off-court moves by Dwyane Wade as the owner of Sky are something to note about.  

All teams had their eye on 29-year-old WNBA veteran Kahleah Copper as her contract with the Sky was coming to an end. However, Wade and his team made sure they did not let the 3x All-Star leave.

Copper hit the headlines as she signed an extension worth $490,118 for two more years. Averaging nearly 19 points this season, a deal like this will indeed be a boost for her in the upcoming playoffs. Copper was not the only one to be excited. 

Wade, who has now strengthened his ties with Copper, shared the news on his Instagram story along with a catchy tagline, “CHI-KAH-GO!!!”
