Earlier this year, a signed one-of-one 2003-04 Upper Deck Jordan card set a record! Sold for $2.9 million, it is a record for any Michael Jordan as per Goldin Auctions. A collectible now is more than a hobby and some of them can easily turn into investments. Even multiple reports signify since The Last Dance Documentary, the prices for MJ’s collectibles are setting unprecedented demand. And that is the case with yet another His Airness card.
As per Heritage Auctions, the card is part of a rare set. 1984-85 Star Co. Michael Jordan #101 PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 – With Chicago Bulls Team Set. It’s one of the player’s true rookie cards, which preceded the most famous 1986 Fleer rookie card. It features MJ in a classic in-action pose, wearing his iconic Bulls jersey. TMZ calls this card and the set “Super Rare” as the predicted price that it could fetch in the auction is set to be $400,000.
The auctions would happen next month. What differentiates this card from Fleer’s rookie card is that this one was produced during Michael Jordan’s actual rookie year. And that’s they are scarce and the predicted bidding is close to half a million. The Jordan card is in Near Mint Plus condition, which indicates minimal signs of wear.

Heritage Auctions also concluded that the entire set is Graded PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. After more than 400 submissions, This NM-MT+beauty represents only 1% of the overall PSA population with three higher.

Recently, another MJ card came to light. It is the Michael Jordan 2022 Exquisite Collection Signature Kicks On-Card Patch Auto Nike. As per Sports Collectibles, the purchase price was close to $20,000, after a 30% discount. The trading card contains a logo piece of one of Jordan’s shoes alongside the NBA icon’s autograph.

The video starts, and there is a caption about the journey, “Day 1 A people’s history of the Air Jordan 1.” As per the video, MJ violated “Article 4 Sec B clause 3.2, ‘Uniformity of Uniform rule.‘”

The league fined the Swoosh brand $5,000, and the response from the Swoosh brand was creative. They were ready to incur that loss every time MJ stepped foot on the hardwood. At the time, it was priced at $65. Today, the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Black Toe Reimagined’ is close to 3x the original price. Since then, any Michael Jordan-related memorabilia has brought good value for investments.
