He regarded Artest as a somewhat tamer, yet still wild, version of Rodman, hinting at the distinctiveness both players brought to the court.
Spears shared his personal observations of Artest’s physicality during his playing days. His inhumanly broad shoulders, crafted perfectly for the rigors of basketball, astonished the comedian.
“I remember when I first met him and he was still playing at the time he had the widest shoulder frame I’ve ever seen on a human being, like it looked like wings like his shoulders were so wide he was just an inhuman,” he remarked.
Spears and DJVlad agreed on the similarities between Artest and Rodman in terms of tenacity, a trait both players demonstrated abundantly on and off the court.
“I can’t imagine getting to a fistfight with this guy like I can’t imagine being taking a hard right.”

“When I make the comparison of Dennis I think if the word I’m using is correct is tenacious, you know, they both had a certain tenacity about themselves on and off the court that to me resembled each other.”
