Taylor Swift took over the sports world after her recent appearances at NFL games. But football is not the only sport the 12-time Grammy winner follows. Having shown the same belief that Kobe Bryant had in himself in her music career, Taylor Swift was recently spotted with a necklace that had an iconic quote from the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

Her necklace had “Bet on Yourself, Kobe Bryant” engraved on it. “You once told me if you are going to bet on someone, bet on yourself. I’m glad you bet on yourself, you overachiever,” said Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant during Kobe’s Hall of Fame enshrinement.

Kobe Bryant had absolute belief in himself. He had put in the work, and he pushed himself to be the best. So anytime there was an opportunity to win the game, Bryant would often take responsibility and take the last shot for his team. He always chose to bet on himself more than anyone else.

Taylor Swift also betted on herself by recently deciding to regain the rights to all her music after losing some of it a few years ago, which made her say it was the “worst-case scenario.” Bryant and Swift shared a special friendship and were often spotted in awe of each other.

Kobe Bryant and Taylor Swift had a close relationship

While the start of their friendship is still unknown, Kobe Bryant has shared the stage with Taylor Swift in the past. In 2015, while Swift was performing in Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant joined her on stage to surprise the fans. Kobe also unveiled a special banner in her name that he said would be hanging at the Staples Center.

In 2019, Kobe Bryant spoke highly of Taylor Swift during an interview. He said that Swift is a kind person and has always been nice to his kids. He also added that if she ever needs anything, she can always count on him.
