He recently opened up about his mother’s addiction. This was when his father stepped in and took custody of him. He thanked his father for his guidance and support recently as well.

Living with his father and step-brothers, Wade found his love for basketball. His father pushed his children to work hard on and off the court. This played a massive role in the success of Wade. His legendary career was recently rewarded as he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Amidst this, Wade talked about his journey during a fitting session with FWRD MAN and revealed his parents’ reaction to this unreal moment.

He said, “On my way over here today, I was talking to my mom. And my is sitting here and my mom and dad are having conversations like offline and they’re like joking, ‘Can you believe this? Like, this is little Dwyane! This is our son!'”

Wade added that he is going to enjoy this moment with everyone that has been on his journey over the years. He also noted that he had the opportunity to meet a lot of people from different walks of life who played a role in his success.
