The European continent has taken over the NBA in the past few years. While there have been many great players from the continent, the influx today is the biggest the league has ever seen. With stars such as Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo becoming household names it is clear that the Europeans are here to stay. This reflection was also seen in this year’s HOF class as the 3 out of the 4 inductees came from the northern continent.

One member of this class was none other than Dirk Nowitzki who is also seen as the greatest European to have played in the NBA. Winning arguably the toughest title in NBA history, Dirk was also one of the smartest players to have played the game. Although intelligent on the court, the Bavarian bomber’s intelligence was recently put to the test off court, where he passed with flying colors.

Fans react as Nowitzki breezes past NBA trivia

In a recent clip posted on FIBA’s Instagram account Dirk Nowitzki was seen being quizzed by the famous YouTuber, Bebida Tailgate who was seen asking Nowitzki, “Which 5 Europeans have the most points in NBA history?”

Humbly asking if he could name himself, Dirk was given the nod of approval by Bebida to which he replied, “I’ll name myself.” Nominating, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo next, Dirty went 4 out of 4 before hitting a stumbling block.

That didn’t last long as he soon recovered by naming Detlef Schrempf to complete the trivia. Dirk’s phenomenal quizzing left many fans astounded as they expressed their reactions in the comment section.

One fan clearly saw this as a godly feat as he was seen commenting, “German Jesus.” Another account that seemed equally impressed wrote, “Damn you a legend,” while a second typed, “Bro went 5 for 6 = 83%.”

Having almost done the unthinkable as an NBA superstar, this particular feat deserved all the praise as one fan did so by writing, “Greatest European of All Time.” While most fans complimented the German’s impeccable ball knowledge, a few fans were quick to point out Bebida’s growth as one fan commented, “So cool that you got to do this with Dirk.”
