Charles Barkley recently revealed that he is in love with the Detroit Lions team and the reason is something more than their impressive run so far this season. Barkley’s love for Tom Brady is well known as the NBA veteran has never missed an opportunity to confess that the NFL legend is his man crush.

However, seems like Brady’s reign is over as Sir Charles recently opened up about his new man crush. The Lions’ head coach Dan Campbell has replaced Brady as Barkley’s man crush. Barkley said, “I have fell in love with the Detroit Lions. I have a man crush on Dan Campbell. I know nothing about Dan Campbell but I’m like I wanna play.”

Sir Charles has previously stated that he is not the biggest fan of football, but he does have some experience in the sport. He said, “I played football one day. I wanna play for Dan Campbell.” Coach Campbell is surely deserving of all the praise that is coming his way, even from someone who isn’t very fond of the sport.

Well aware of the fact that his conversation with actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key on the King Charles show hosted by Sir Charles and Gayle King was losing track, Barkley said, “I am a tremendous fan of yours. For all your success…I can’t believe I’m talking to you about the damn Detroit Lions. Out of all the questions I want to ask.” Key is a Michigan native so it’s only fair that the Lions’ recent dominance is brought up in discussion with him. Key was supportive of Barkley’s choice of questions, especially the ones about the Lions.

Charles Barkley switches up on his man crush

As for his previous crush on Tom Brady, Barkley has talked about it a lot in the past. He said, “I look him in the eyes, and I said, ‘Damn, you a pretty man.’ That’s what I was thinking to myself, and I got so embarrassed, I started to turn my head to talk to him”. While the world focuses more on Brady’s heroics on the field, Sir Charles used to find himself lost in his eyes.
