In a truly heartwarming and touching gesture, the 3x NBA champion shared a picture of their trip on his Instagram Stories, capturing the moment and writing, “Back where it all started.” He was not alone. His sister Tragil was also with him. In another snap, Wade was seen embracing his sister and wrote, “Little Dwyane and Little Tragil couldn’t dream of the life we have today!”

Growing up in South Chicago, Dwyane has often recollected the hardships he witnessed as a young kid. Thankfully for him, his elder sister did everything in her power to safeguard her brother. Tragil Wade reportedly convinced Dwyane Sr., who was separated from D-Wade’s mother, to take in his 8 year-old son.

Getting off the streets allowed the Flash to hone his skills and join the NBA just over a decade later. The multi-millionaire has kept his family close ever since. During his Hall of Fame speech last, D-Wade shouted out his father, bringing his fairytale full circle. The 13x All-Staralso purchased a stake in Chicago’s WNBA franchise; a gift to his mother, as he put it.
