The great Michael Jordan built an everlasting legacy during his career. During that era, he was the biggest name in sports. And he has managed to hold that position even after retirement. Whether it’s as a businessman or as a parent, Jordan’s legacy continues to astound us. He has three kids and now they’re all grown up and leading their own lives.

Recently his daughter Jasmine opened up about the birth of her son. Pointing out the importance of her mother, Jasmine said that Juanita would’ve turned the hospital “upside down” if her wishes weren’t fulfilled.

Daughter of Michael Jordan has a crazy birth story

The Chicago Bulls legend’s first marriage with Juanita lasted 17 years. The couple then called it quits and parted ways for good. Although Jordan remarried in 2013, his ex-wife remained single. However, in the aftermath of their divorce, Juanita walked away with a hefty settlement fee. Their divorce in 2006 was one of the most talked about events. In addition to that, the divorce was settled at a record at the time, $168 million dollars. Nonetheless, their kids remain as close to their mother as they were before.

In a recent podcast appearance, Jasmine told the story of when she was about to give birth to her son, Rakeem. She said that while going to the hospital, she thought it must be a false alarm and therefore advised her mother to stay at home. However, upon reaching the hospital, the doctors hit her with the truth. After finding out that she is about to give birth right now, Jasmine’s only concern was that her mother should be there.

Just to show how the importance of her mother being there, Jasmine said “If I have this baby without my mother, she’s gonna turn this hospital upside down.”

Everything went as per plan and Jasmine gave birth to a beautiful baby boy with her fiance Rakeem Christmas. And of course, her mother made it in time.

Michael Jordan’s ex-wife filmed her daughter giving birth

After Juanita arrived at the hospital, she was in the delivery room with her daughter and her husband, Rakeem Christmas.

Jasmine said that while she was preparing to give birth to her son, her mother decided that she wants to record it. Despite Jasmine telling her “Mom, you’re not serious,” to stop her, Juanita was unbothered and wanted to capture that moment.

How beautiful for grandpa MJ to be able to witness the moment his grandson entered the world. Whether it’s on tape or in person, Michael Jordan must certainly be gratefulf for his beautiful family.
