After a brief second stint in the NBA, Magic Johnson permanently retired from the game in 1996. Almost two decades after bidding adieu to the world of professional basketball, the electrifying point guard continues to relish the freedom that retirement brings. The five-time champion has diverted his attention from bouncing balls on the basketball court to sailing smoothly out on the ocean. He recently combined three of his favorite things by going on vacation to Italy.

Magic and his wife, Cookie Johnson, continue to keep their fans updated about the latest happenings of their trip via social media. Both of them recently shared some new highlights.

Magic Johnson vibes to the music

Magic recently took to Instagram to share a few pictures from his time on a watercraft with a ‘Soul Boat’ banner attached to the stern. There was a photo of the couple being all smiles. There was another photo wherein the former player and his wife happily posed alongside renowned Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson, Jackson’s wife, and a few other guests.

While his wife had donned a beautiful Black and white pattern dress, Magic was exuding a few more colors.

While the 12-time NBA All-Star covered the posts, Cookie Johnson took to the stories of Instagram.

She uploaded a few videos of people, including herself, vibing on the dance floor to the 1979 song “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward. Observers saw Magic pulling off a few moves himself!

In the background, Oscar-winner, Samuel could be seen recording the event on his phone and grooving to the music.

Johnson & Jackson run into a known face of the music industry

A few days prior to the exciting event held on water, Magic shared another moment of him hanging out with the Marvel Actor. This time, however, the duo were joined by someone else.

Magic shared the moment on Instagram after he and Samuel unknowingly ran into famous record executive Clive Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers legend captioned the post, “Look who we ran into in Italy! World-renown Hollywood music executive and hall of famer Clive Davis!”

Having been a part of the music industry for more than 50 years, Clive Davis is known for bringing various renowned artists to the spotlight.

Some of them include Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and so so many more. Under his leadership, his record labels have garnered remarkable success. His role as a non-performer in the industry earned him five Grammy awards. If that wasn’t enough, Davis also boasts a net worth of $850 million!

Johnson continues his streak of running into other famous people in Italy, having met NFL Team owner Jeffrey Lurie just a few days ago.
