The Miami Heat veteran who was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame has recently shown his encouragement for the younger generation of basketball players. Dwyane Wade is known for supporting players in the leagues and now we see him showing his love for the young fans who want to be just like him. This NBA legend was just introduced to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this month, which gives a tribute to his long career in the NBA.

Dwyane Wade has had an illustrious 16-year career with having an NBA final MVP in 2006. A lot of young fans look up to the NBA legend and want to be just like him! This reminds Wade of his own son, which motivated him to help out every young fan.

Dwyane Wade was seen showing his love for his young fans in Hong Kong this time. Many young talents came to see the basketball legend up close. Dwyane Wade took this opportunity to guide them and motivate them to give it their best shot. He said, “Dream big, believe in yourself, be prepared, and be committed. This will not always lead to the success you want when you want it, so be committed to the journey”.

He further told the fans to be “Obsessed” with the game to potentially become an NBA finals MVP himself! In his own words, he said, “Your journey is custom made for you. Like what I always told my son–be obsessed with your journey, because you can take aspirations from other people’s journeys, but be obsessed with yours”.

Dwyane Wade also revealed his 21-year-old son’s obsession. He took this opportunity to share his unique life experiences with the kids. Wade told the kids to have a strong sense of purpose in life. He motivated them to identify their passion and become obsessed with achieving it, just like his own son is doing. Wade guided the kids just like he would his own son, asking them to be focused on their goals in life.

His son, Zaire Wade, has been a passionate player, always trying to excel in the sport. In his high school, he played at the Mount Carmel High School in Chicago. What’s interesting is that Zaire’s dad was also born in Chicago! His cousin Dahveon Morris also played in his team. He has also played at the Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.

After high school, he played at the Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. Zaire received many scholarship offers from DePaul, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and Toledo. But he opted to turn professional instead. Currently, he is playing for the Cape Town Tigers of the Basketball Africa League.
