The Golden State Warriors are struggling. After losing Draymond Green to suspension and Chris Paul to injury, the team has fallen below the .500 mark. While the trade deadline is less than a month away, Toronto Raptors legend Vince Carter has a suggestion for the Warriors. He believes that adding an athletic young star like Zach LaVine can help the team raise its ceiling.
“I think they are fragile right now. They need to find some youth and some offense. I think a Zach LaVine- some pop. They need something… You have to find the pieces that fit with your superstars… At best, I think they’re going to be in the middle of the pack,” said the 8x All-Star.

The Warriors are fighting to find their footing. Earlier in the season, both Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins were playing some of the worst basketball in their careers. Unfortunately, as they eventually started to get into a rhythm, Green was suspended from the team.
As Green is set to make his return to the team soon, Vince Carter believes that now is the right time for the Warriors to start preparing for the postseason. With how they are playing currently, there are chances of them missing the playoffs.
So a trade now seems essential for the team to elevate themselves. While many names have been thrown around, Zach LaVine is a viable option for the Warriors. But only time will tell if this trade is possible.
Zach LaVine is in a tough position
While the Warriors are trying to make their team better, the Chicago Bulls have tried trading Zach LaVine to numerous teams. However, according to reports from Michael Wilbon, there is currently no market for LaVine.

Although he is a star player in the NBA, teams are not willing to give up any valuable assets to get him. This can be attributed to the lack of LaVine’s post-season success.
As the trade deadline is on February 8, teams have less than a month to figure things out and place themselves in contention. With names like Pascal Siakam also linked to the Warriors, the chances of Zach LaVine making his way to the Warriors are slim.
