These players fiercely battled against each other, but were good friends when they were not facing each other. Recently, an old resurfaced clip from Jordan and Bryant’s final game brings back the memories of the great relationship they shared. Let’s find out more about their precious bond.

Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan’s last encounter on hardwood

Back in 2003, the two legends faced each other on the court. During that time, Jordan was playing with the Washington Wizards and it was his last battle against the Black Mamba. The names suggest the energy and excitement that must have surrounded the court. Yet again, the thrill became palpable as a clip featuring their heart-warming encounter resurfaced on the Internet.

As we see in the clip, the two athletes went toe-to-toe in an intense battle. While Bryant is seen forging ahead with the ball, Jordan stood in front of him. This ended up with Bryant losing the ball and Jordan on the floor right below him. Following this, both the players pretended to have a false fight and soon broke into laughter. While in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Bryant was asked about his relationship with the Bulls’ legend. To which Bryant replied, “He’s a good mentor, he’s like a big brother.”

From being an inspiration to mentor, Jordan was a big part of Bryant’s life.
