Despite disapproval from all sides, Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are going strong. The strongest and most public disapproval came from Marcus’ dad, Michael Jordan. Larsa’s boyfriend who is 16 years her junior has since tried to tame the aftermath on their podcast, Separation Anxiety. But recently, Marcus made a disclosure about his family that has a few listeners rubbing their imaginary beards.
This week’s episode of Separation Anxiety comes after Larsa enjoyed some well-deserved family time away from her beau. Marcus had his own perspective about Larsa’s family. And he, in turn, gave some insight into what kind of family the Jordans are.

Larsa and Marcus discuss family time
There are many reasons why Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan’s relationship is contentious. It’s not only that Jordan is 16 years younger than Pippen, but family is part of the reason. As Marcus’ dad was teammates with Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, things get complicated. Especially with the feud between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. The couple have, however, used their podcast to confirm that their relationship began on a clean slate.
Larsa took a break from all the drama to spend time with her family recently. She was spotted in Disneyland with her 14-year-old daughter, Sophia Pippen. They would later share pictures of their day out together.
This week on their podcast, Marcus was gushing on behalf of his girlfriend about the summer she spent with her kids. Larsa would say she had the “best time” having the kids home for the summer.
Scotty Pippen Jr and Preston Pippen were also with her and Marcus. Despite being busy with the podcast, she made time for them. They enjoyed dinners and exploring a lot of places with Pippen’s kids.
Larsa is feeling like the cool mom who gets invited to her kids’ hangouts. “I feel like it’s kind of fun that I get to hang out with my kids now.” That prompted Marcus to gush about what an “admirable” mom she is.
“You have the best relationship with your kids. You’re almost like best friends with them. You guys speak every day. And so it’s kind of admirable.”
Marcus reveals Michael Jordan’s family quirk
Larsa appreciated the compliment from Marcus. She went on to say that her kids not only feel like best friends but they have a strong relationship with the entire family. Her four children are as close to Larsa’s siblings as much as they are to her.
Marcus has the opposite experience apparently. Recently, his dad publicly said “No” when asked if he approves of Marcus and Larsa’s relationship. After initially saying that Michael Jordan privately approved their relationship, the couple has been getting stronger than ever. Marcus defended Michael’s single-word disapproval on a previous episode claiming that’s how their family teases each other.

When Larsa said that her kids have open communication with aunts and uncles, Marcus reiterated how rare that is. “You definitely come from a tight-knit family,” he told his girlfriend. “You guys are all best friends. Your sisters are calling, your son’s hanging out with your brother, your mom, and dad speak with you and your sisters and your brothers every day.”
In contrast, Marcus says, “My family, we’re more texters. We text each other.” They reserve the calls or Facetime for emergencies but they’re big on texting. “We communicate best through text because we’re all at different stages of our lives.”

That’s a scenario in a lot of families and it doesn’t mean one is better than the other. Some theorize that maybe this is why MJ’s public disapproval didn’t carry as much weight as the private exchange he had with Marcus. What kind of family are you? Let us know in the comments.
