Gabrielle Union shared how she dealt with the pain of infertility and Wade’s support throughout her trajectory. While the actress desired to experience the joy of pregnancy, she was heartbroken with multiple miscarriages. Watching his wife deal with pain every day, he was forced to refuse Gabrielle’s wish. As the 50-year-old recalled, that’s when Wade shared his stance on the matter.

He shared, “As much as we want this baby, I want you. We’ve lost too much in our relationship for me to be okay with you to do one more thing to your body and soul.” The 3x NBA champion convinced her that surrogacy was the right option for them.

Gabrielle Union recovered from her pain

In an enlightening conversation with Nina Westbrook a few weeks ago, the actress revealed how she felt like “a failure.” It took her almost a year to finally embrace the path of surrogacy. In 2018, the couple welcomed their daughter Kaavia Wade.

While the struggle left her heartbroken, she was slowly able to recover from her pain. In the same interview, she shared how talking to people and being more social helped her. The couple has grown ever since. After enduring their fair share of trials and tribulations, this resilient couple has finally found their way to a place of harmony and understanding.
