Popular ESPN analyst and former NBA star Richard Jefferson sees many moments of surprise. With his engaging content over social media platforms, the NBA legend keeps giving glimpses into many humorous and behind-the-scenes activities. However, this time, a group of young boys have zipped the NBA champion by doing some theatrics.
Not only did they enter the new $2 billion arena of the Los Angeles Clippers in Inglewood, but they showed the camera something that the ESPN Hoops Guru found befuddling. In the reel he posted on his Instagram account, Jeferson gave his opinions to the youngsters. Jefferson commented, “These kids, they literally filmed themselves trespassing. Why would you film yourselves trespassing?” He then continued, “And you put your whole government face and posted on social media.”
He also talked about why he thought it was staged and when he got to know that it wasn’t. RJ said, “I’ll show you the moment when I knew it wasn’t staged.” The boy then made a long basket and surprisingly brought a fire extinguisher to show that his last shot set the hoop ablaze. Watching this part, the former Cleveland Cavaliers star said, “This is why I know it wasn’t staged because that’s them.” In the end, all the legend could say was, “What are you idiots doing?”

The end of the clip also shows the 43-year-old warning the kids that the way they got to the roof was very dangerous. They were apparently showing off some parkour. However, Jefferson would agree that the kid in the video does have some impressive basketball skills.

While Richard Jefferson would not advocate for the young boys if any trouble came their way as he does not promote trespassing, the kids did dazzle the ESPN Hoops Guru. One of the boys made multiple baskets, including a few from beyond the arc. He also dribbled the ball on which Jefferson could not help but say, “Oh you killing ’em! Oh you killing ’em! You’ll be doing that in the yard!”

Although it was all in the mindset to connect with the youth today, RJ did caption the reel, “This is taking it too far.” Clearly, he doesn’t want anyone doing such a thing. However, it was entertaining to watch the NBA legend both admire the young kid for his talent and rebuke his actions simultaneously.
