Michael Jordan‘s third retirement wasn’t like the first one. He couldn’t lead the Washington Wizards to the playoffs. Nevertheless, it was a significant moment for both fans and the legend himself. The 6x champion’s last game and the emotions involved with it hold a special meaning. The same can be said about Jordan’s last uniform, which is both special and valued at over $500,000 at auctions. However, where is the jersey now, and what price could it fetch at an auction today?

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas recently made a bold and unusual claim in his latest live show. During the show, Agent Zero spoke about Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant’s parents placing the legend’s championship ring at an auction. Following this, Arenas shared that he also has some stuff with him worth millions.

Claiming that he likes to collect Jordan’s game memorabilia and more, Arenas boasted about having Jordan’s last uniform. “Listen, I low-key be collecting some sh*t, don’t I? I be collecting. I got Jordans. Then y’all talk about the last dance. I got the last uniform Jordan, ever wore. Come on, I got some. I’mma ‘him’ when it comes to stuff like that. Yes sir,” exclaimed Arenas.

Auctions House sold Michael Jordan’s last uniform

However, it might be possible given how the player has a record of picking up some of Jordan’s personal stuff. During an episode of his podcast show, ‘Gils Arena,’ Agent Zero shared that he was able to get his hands on Jordan’s jerseys, orthotics, and more stuff when he joined the Wizards in 2003. However, the facts tell quite a different story about this whole situation.

Despite his claims, the Goldin auction house seems to have the entire details of the jersey before they sold it in 2019. His Airness played his last game against the Philadelphia 76ers on April 16, 2003. The No. 23 jersey is also signed by the legend. While the memories of the game aren’t sweet, the price this jersey has achieved at the auction was quite impressive.

According to Bleachers report, the iconic jersey was worn around 14 times. It gained around $570,000 at the auction. Before that, the jersey was owned by George Koehler. First, he was Jordan’s limo driver and over years, became the champion’s close confidante. Arenas’ claim could be meant as a joke for the listeners in his show or we are yet to know more details about it. What is your take on this? Let us know in the comments section below.
