The world is celebrating the new year. While people enjoy leisure time, just having fun, Shaquille O’Neal is already rolling out plans. Shaq’s first order of business is something violent, and his victim is Charles Barkley. The Big Man posted a clip of a man getting slapped on his Instagram, with a message for Charles.

Shaq wrote, “this how I’m a do charles barkley in 2024.” Although he stated that it’s all fun and jokes in the very next line, fans picked up the clip and the first sentence and had a field day in his comment section.

In fact, Shaq’s message is to spread love, he said, “These are just jokes let’s love each other in 2024”. But that’s not what fans were interested in. All they saw was someone violently delivering a slap on someone’s face, and Shaq saying this is gonna be him and Chuck in this new year. Now, this is not the first time when the two best friends have made such suggestions for one another, and going by their history, it’s safe to assume it’s not the last time either.

Their entire relationship is built on them being goofy, fun, and always getting on each other’s nerves. From casually smacking one another to calling out names, they do it all. But the best part is, it’s all in the name of fun and jokes, completely harmless.

Recently, when Shaq posted the clip, fans compared his behavior to Will Smith’s. Smith did something similar at the 2022 Oscars when he was offended by one of Chris Rock’s jokes. Apart from the slightly twisted comparison, fans had some hilarious takes to add to Shaq’s comment section on Instagram.

One fan said, “Unc go to sleep 😂” as clearly Shaq’s thoughts were getting violent by the time.

Another fan said that such actions are HR violations, “😂 That man definitely ran away to HR”, an HR equivalent in Shaq and Chuck’s case would be Ernie Johnson, the balancing factor of the show.

The Big Man is known for such pranks and social media posts and the fans adore him for it. One fan wrote, “i love you shaq never change big fella 😂”.

Another angle presented to this fight was the food war. A fan wrote, “This shaq to chuck when he gets the last doughnut on set”.

The Will Smith comparison was made by a popular realtor, Ali Alasgar Farhadov. He wrote, “Will Smith Syndrome 😂”.

Shaq’s new year is off to a flying start with another viral social media post. Let’s hope that the slap remains in the virtual world and Sir Charles doesn’t have to be a victim of it.
