Rashad McCants does not want to end his beef with ESPN’s Stephen. A. Smith with just a tweet. The 39-year-old joined Gilbert Arenas’ podcast once again to give the finishing touches. The ex-Minnesota Timberwolves star called out Smith last week on the same show after he put LeBron James over Kobe Bryant, in his top 2 players of all-time. Although Smith made a bit of sense in explaining why he did so, Shaquille O’Neal joined in late to ruin all the fun for the analyst. Shaq shared in his interview with Smith, “Doesn’t matter who the GOAT is, my guy[Bryant] should be in the conversation… His name needs to be in there. All the time!”
This settled McCants’s path to victory. And then, well, it was time to show gratitude. The former NBA veteran shared, “I didn’t need Shaq to go do that, but I appreciate my brother Shaq stepping up, cause I guess it was only two people that it struck a chord with… Me and Shaq feel some type of way.” McCants added, “And that’s unfortunate. But I know a lot of people can’t say what they really feel when it come down to Kobe Bryant cause he is not here no more…So a lot of people not gonna come to his defense, but that’s my brother and blood.”

Rashad McCants explains why this will make him the guy “no one likes”
McCants revealed, “It is kinda personal for me…Kobe can’t defend himself. But if I gotta step and be the guy, the guy no one likes, the guy invites things, this and that…Well, here I am talking about Kobe, protecting his name and his legacy.”

The 39-year-old has made his stance clear. It doesn’t matter who is on the opposite side. If it is someone disrespecting Bryant, he will be there to defend the 5x NBA champion. He had also tweeted to boast his victory over Smith, “That didn’t go the way he thought it would go did it!!!!! I accept your apology brother. Now let’s talk hoop!!”
