Gilbert Arenas was one of the most versatile shooters and scorers the game of basketball has ever seen. Arenas, who was known for his time with the Washington Wizards, is often spotted on his show Gil’s Arena giving his take on everything basketball. Arenas, at the peak of his career, was averaging a massive 29 points per game while featuring eighty times in the season. But his basketball career took a massive turn when he got himself involved in a rather major controversy.
Recently, he was spotted touching on his controversial gun episode, after which he didn’t have an easy time getting back to the game of basketball.

Gilbert Arenas in the year 2009 brought a loaded gun into the Washington Wizards dressing room. He received a ton of backslash for the incident. He was suspended for a period of one year for the incident. The 41-year-old recently opened on the incident and what transpired after the incident and how it affected his game.
Gilbert Arenas said, ” When I got back at the court after the gun situation. I am at the free throw line what are they talking about? All of a sudden I let the world inside. I can say I never actually seen fans. I can only see the court. When I got back I see everyone. Oh there’s a lot of people in here. I threw up. It was so bad” Arenas made it clear that he was getting bothered by people’s opinion of him on the basketball court. And the negative press definitely affected his game. He later revealed he even messed up his Lakers trial by giving an interview.

Gilbert Arenas’ message to Ja Morant
Ja Morant, who came under fire for flashing his gun multiple times on the social media, has missed a majority of his games. Arenas, who faced a similar situation, had some words for the youngster. The 41-year-old said, “We are gonna always keep saying, ‘The company you keep is gonna be your downfall.’ You show me your friends, I show you your future”
