NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is known for his generosity to charity. The Big Diesel‘s random acts of kindness have been caught on camera many times. He also lends a helping hand to multiple foundations. After all, his estimated net worth is currently over $400 million. However, he once revealed it would not have been possible without the help of organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club. Shaq has not forgotten their impact and so he has been giving back. Recently, he visited a club in Hobbs, New Mexico.

O’Neal is a major contributor to the Boys and Girls Club of Henry County. Notably, he reportedly donated $1 million for the construction of a new building. Following this, the club was named after him as the Shaquille O’Neal Boys and Girls Club of Henry County.

Shaquille O’Neal shared his wisdom with children

A few months back, Shaquille O’Neal announced a partnership with former Miami Heat teammate Alonzo Mourning. The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation and Mourning’s Icy Hot Foundation joined hands for a $20 million renovation project in the Overtown Youth Center in Florida. It was named the ‘Comebaq Court’ project. It focused on renovating courts around the county so that children could train.

Four months back, the project was completed. The 4x NBA champion took to Instagram to share the positive news with his fans around the world. Now, he has given his valuable time to the children of Hobbs Boys and Girls Club.

According to a report from NewsWest9, O’Neal visited the club recently as a part of the Jack Maddox Distinguished Lecture Series. Furthermore, he also participated in a Q&A session where he answered the questions of children about his basketball career, businesses, etc.

A few months back, he also called the Boys and Girls Club a safe place for children after school when the parents are not home yet as per Today. So he understands the importance of such organizations and assists them in guiding children around the country.
